How do you say "Im sorry?"

Just a week in Heidelberg, and I’m already in love with all that I see. This entire trip so far has already taught me so much about myself as well as the world around me.
For one, I already feel much more independent.  I’ve learned quickly how to navigate a train station, book a hostel, and plan a weekend excursion in Europe successfully!  My skills in these areas were tested this past weekend as my roommates and I ventured to Salzburg for an incredible weekend full of fun.  Through the journey to Salzburg was a bit stressful and I almost cried…. It was well worth it due to the sights that we saw.  In Salzburg, we were privileged to see many sights where “The Sound of Music” was filmed.  We were also able to explore an ancient fortress that took my breath away.  However, I also learned in Salzburg that I am terrible with directions, and I should never be in charge of a map.  As embarrassing as this is, I couldn’t even find my way out of a small café’ we ate at after using the restroom! This is something I definitely need to work on.
Furthermore, my skills in bicycling and physical agility have also been challenged, and I must say I have risen to these challenges.  I LOVE biking to class every morning, and I love the way it makes me feel.  The rush of endorphins each morning fills me with happiness and leaves me feeling fresh and fit.   I was pretty bad at first, and though I’m still far from being as good as the people who live here, I have gotten much more comfortable with my bike.
I have adapted to culture here in many other ways as well.  For example, I no longer feel miserable without the AC on! Though it becomes a bit stuffy sometimes, I feel much better now than I did at the beginning of the trip inside of buildings.  I have also picked up on many words and phrases, and I can use some of them with ease with the people who live here.
I hope to continue learning about German culture, and about myself as the trip continues.  I can’t wait for what is yet to come.
