For me personally, my
biggest achievement this week in Germany was to regain my relation-ship with
the bike! We broke up together - the
bike and me- about 20 years ago , since
that we became strangers, we hardly know each other, and even more, we lost the
trust in each other, it’s amazing how time could change a good relation-ship,
if left unnourished and watered with practice and patience.
It is also amazing, how
our minds could play tricks on us. Sometimes the mental barrier is very much
higher than the real one.
Another lesson that I
‘have learned biking, is that the mind
is so powerful to get us up or down, to put hundreds of chains around our necks or to give us wings to fly,
it’s all in here , in our minds and souls. Amongst all the bridges that could
lead you to your own mind, music is the fastest, easiest and safest one.
Regaining my
relationship with bikes is not only a physical gain, it is to me more than
that, it is a whole process of mindfulness.
Would this learning
experience affect my learning experience and practice in music therapy?
A music therapist need
to be very in the here and now when working with his or her clients, so as the
biker on the road is always in the here and now concentrating
with every detail on the path, enjoying the beauty of the moment but
nevertheless being efficient, and heading towards the goals .
Wishing you all harmonious relation-ships with everything in your lives,
à bientôt und bis nächste woche,
Mina Saad.
