First day

First day: success! All the students made it through customs, etc., in good time, and we made our train connections to Heidelberg. When we got here, we made our way to apartments we rented, and then went and picked up our bicycles. It was a very hot and sunny day--a tough day to have jetlag and be doing a lot of tasks. I'm glad we got through just fine! 

Tomorrow we head to the Hochschule for a formal reception and our first classes.
